Diana Lopez is a Colombian-born trumpet player, Principal Trumpet of the Sarasota Orchestra, and a Bach Artist. She has performed with orchestras and ensembles throughout the United States and Colombia, including the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Grant Park Orchestra, Jacksonville Symphony, The Orchestra San Antonio, San Antonio Ballet, Fulcrum Point New Music Project, the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra, and regional orchestras throughout Illinois and Indiana. She previously served as Principal Trumpet of the Carmel Symphony Orchestra.

Ms. Lopez began her professional career in Colombia with the Bogotá Philharmonic Band. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance from the Lynn University Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Marc Reese. She later completed an Advanced Certificate in Orchestral Studies with The Orchestra Now at Bard College, after which she continued her studies with Benjamin Wright and Thomas Rolfs of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and David Griffin of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Ms. Lopez is also the founder of the Women's Brass Association of Colombia (Fembrass), a network of more than 100 female brass musicians across Latin America dedicated to education, mentorship, and professional development. She has more than a decade of experience teaching trumpet students of all ages and levels and is passionate about helping students overcome challenges with the instrument and develop confidence and efficiency in their playing. She is also an active clinician, presenting masterclasses, clinics, and educational programs for students and young musicians.
